Microbiological Aspects and Immunity Response of Bacteria Causing Pulpitis

چکیده
Oral cavity is a very wide distributed ecosystem in which several hundred microbial species normally cohabit harmoniously. Under special conditions some micro-organism with a potential is promoted, leading to inflammation & infection by induced demineralization of dental enamel that normally constitutes an impermeable barrier that protects the underlying dentin and the connective tissue situated in the centre of the tooth & dental pulp such as pulpitis, dental caries, periodontal infection. In inflammation process in the dental pulpitis the immunity response against oral infection follow leading infection & it is resulting in high level of morbidity and economic burden

Quantitative microbiological study of human carious dentine by culture and real-time PCR: association of anaerobes with histopathological changes in chronic pulpitis.
The bacteria found in carious dentine were correlated with the tissue response of the dental pulps of 65 teeth extracted from patients with advanced caries and pulpitis. Standardized homogenates of carious dentine were plated onto selective and nonselective media under anaerobic and microaerophilic conditions. In addition, real-time PCR was used to quantify the recovery of anaerobic bacteria. P...
متن کاملEnterococcus faecalis demonstrates pathogenicity through increased attachment in an ex vivo polymicrobial pulpal infection.
This study investigated the host response to a polymicrobial pulpal infection consisting of Streptococcus anginosus and Enterococcus faecalis, bacteria commonly implicated in dental abscesses and endodontic failure, using a validated ex vivo rat tooth model. Tooth slices were inoculated with planktonic cultures of S. anginosus or E. faecalis alone or in co-culture at ratios of 50:50 and 90:10 S...
متن کاملPrevalence and Antibiotic Resistance Pattern of Bacteria Isolated from Urinary Tract Infections in Amol Public Hospitals: A Brief Report
Background and purpose: Descriptive knowledge of the epidemiology of bacteria causing urinary tract infection (UTI) and their antibiotic resistance patterns is of great importance in evidence-based decision-making of physicians and health planners in a region. This study investigated the prevalence and resistance pattern of bacteria isolated from urinary tract infections in Amol, north of Iran,...
متن کاملComparison of synergic effects of Prilocaine and Lidocaine local anesthesia in teeth with irreversible pulpitis: A randomized clinical trial
Background and Aims: Various methods to induce anesthesia have been investigated in situations where the primary inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) injections fail. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of synergic effects of anesthetic injection of prilocaine supplemental with that of lidocaine anesthesia in teeth with irreversible pulpitis. Materials and Methods: This study was a...
